Moments in My Life

The buyer’s lender didn’t fund escrow today.  The excuse they gave to escrow was they were too busy.  When I was at the escrow office this morning to check the status, the escrow officer said the buyer’s lender called and told her they received everything they needed and will be funding today.  I told her to give me a call once that is done.  It was around 2:30pm and I have yet to hear anything, so I called escrow.  The escrow officer let me talked to her supervisor.  I was told the buyer’s lender was not going to fund today but instead of Monday. 

Our short sale with the seller’s lender expires on Tuesday.  It would be perfect if escrow gets the money today and close on Monday.  But now we have to talk to the seller’s lender to give us one more day.  This lender was very kind to us as he already extended our short sale transaction three times and he said no more extension, or else they will request for more money at closing.  I don’t know what’s with the update after speaking with the escrow supersivor as she said she was going to email the lender and find out more info from him.  The lender is in TX, so he might not reply until Monday.

What I am thinking here is what happened if the buyer lender’s doesn’t fund escrow on Monday.  We have to wait till after Thanksgiving holiday before we can close the transaction.  Worse is, the buyer’s lender is blaming on us for them not able to fund today.  S*T*O*O*O*P*I*D … they don’t ever want to take responsibility that it is their fault since we already provided them everything they need and was told they were able to fund today. 

That s t o o p i d o l d l a d y got on my nerves again.  I emailed her some forms so that she can have her buyer signs off because she told me that she will be meeting up with him later this evening.  She called me less than an hour ago and she said she will be seeing her client later tonite.  And that her client is interested to proceed with the transaction of the property.  We were at a halt because her client didn’t want to get the property AS IS as this is a short sale and the lender is not going to do any repairs.  We were halted for 3 days until she called me today to let me know to proceed.  I quickly put together more forms for her to have her buyer to sign and emailed to her about 15 minutes ago then I called her.

She was driving.  She was lost.  She can’t get there in time.  Those are not my business.  I just wanted to let her know I emailed her some forms to have her client sign off and saving her time to make appointment with her client again.  She said she cannot check her email because she is driving.  Please tell me this lady is nut.  I didn’t ask her to check her email NOW.  D*mn you.  I told her to check her email and download the pdf files at her client’s office.  This old lady is so not advance in technology and somemore she said I insulted her because the last time I said she doesn’t know how to use the internet.  What I told her before was to check her email from another computer because her laptop was telling her there is a virus to the email I sent to her and she couldn’t open the attachment scaring that the virus may infect her s t o o p i d laptop again. 

I hope I don’t have to work with this lady again in future.  So hate her … so dislike the way she works … somemore dare to lecture me how I should work with my client.  BELAH lah YOU!

Edit: I was trying to save her time and gas so she doesn’t have to drive to meet up with her client again to sign the papers and I got the scolding saying why I sent them so late.  Hey Lady, you just called me that you want to advance in the transaction, I did my best to get the papers ready and emailed to you within an hour already, what you want?  I hate it so much when I was trying to be nice to her.  So I need to rant it out everybody else know that there is this type of lady somewhere in Los Angeles driving on the street and talking on the phone at the same time.  tsk tsk tsk.  Never follows the law. 

Now, not patient with my son but with this “s t o o p i d” agent I am dealing with.  She is representing the buyer which I am working with in the transaction now.  She is an arrogant OLD lady.  According to her, she is an “old lady” and has been in the real estae business for 10 years and she knows everything.  Come one lar, she didn’t ever sign the last page of the offer she made and when I called her to tell her to give me another copy with her signature on it, she dared to tell me she knows what she is doing and has never sign any last page of any offer.  Damn!  My co-listing agent asked me to tell her off by saying, if you don’t sign it, you don’t get your commission.  Not just the purchase agreement she got it some, some other documents, she has asked her buyer to sign where my seller’s signature supposed to be. 

And she is very rude on the phone too.  She keeps saying, “LISTEN!” don’t know how many times when I spoke to her on the phone.  Hey, lady … I am on the phone with you, if I am not listening to you, what you think I am doing?  I emailed her some documents in pdf and she told me she dare not open it because it indicated virus and she paid $500 to fix her laptop just recently.  Then I told her to use her office’s computers to open the file and print out the papers and she kept saying, she can’t open the file with her laptop.  Lady, OPEN WITH YOUR OFFICE punya COMPUTER .. BODOH!  I sent the files to my co-agent and he said no virus at all.  S T O O P I D L A D Y.  I suspect that her laptop still has virus in it.  S T O O P I D L A D Y, spent $500 fixing the laptop where I can get a new laptop for less than $500.   

And she went to tell my co-agent that I am rude to her because I said she doesn’t know how to use the email.  I just spoke to her regarding an appointment she wanted to make with the tenants to appraise the property.  At times she said 4pm Thursday, but it was supposed to be at 1pm.  Then she said no no … 4pm her buyer can’t make it that is why 1pm.  I told her, why not you email me the time and date you and your appraiser are coming over.  She said why I making this so difficult fo her.  Hey … S T O O P I D O L D L A D Y … email is so easy ok.  It is a matter of black and white. 

I have worked with many agents and this is the most s t o o p i e s t one I’ve seen.  I want to pukul her kepala kau kau man to wake her up.  Bodoh punya orang.  Macam ini pun boleh buat business.  tsk tsk tsk

Alamak!  My careless husband has let a spyware/adware infected his computer.  He didn’t let me know about it until a day later when I noticed the desktop wallpaper has changed into something like an ad.  Then only he told me, he ‘thinks’ that his computer is infected by spyware and he has downloaded a program to fix it.  But actually the program only help to scan the computer.  So he had deleted the supposedly infected files himself.  But yet the spyware is still actively running. 

The first thing I try to do is to get into the Computer’s Registry for running program.  I clicked ctrl+alt+del … but the computer didn’t let me go in, even I was logged on as the Administrator of the PC.  The spyware must have changed the command.  DAMN!  (sorry, I hate to use this word but it is really how I feel)  Immediately I had the feeling that I need to reformat the hard drive to fix the problem.  Luckily, I don’t think I have much needed data in it as since a year ago, I’ve switched over to using only my laptop.  And I do have a external hard drive which I keep all my pictures.  But to reformat the HD is a hassle.  And it may take up to a full a day formating and installing back all the Window XP operating system, drivers, programs … etc. 

You must be thinking, why not let my husband do it?  Isn’t it suppose to be a guy’s job to get technical with the PC?  The answer here is NO!  My man doesn’t know much about computer.  All he knows how to do is USE it.  When you get into the hard ware … it is ME!  I can do much more than he does with computer.  I don’t know why I know how to do it … but I guess I learn.  Also partly because my father.  He used to know a lot about computer but not anymore now.  Computer technology evolves too fast like rocket.  I’ve seen him doing and fixing … but instead acting ‘this is not my business, I don’t need to learn‘ … I stood beside my father and observed what he did.  I actually learn a lot of things by observing others doing them.  

Anyway … for me, I ask around my friends for help if needed … or search online to get help.  But with my man … if he doesn’t know, and doesn’t need the knowledge, he won’t know it. 

I spent close to 4 hours to try to find solution to it.  One thing I found was the spyware infected his PC is called ZEDO.  No good.  It is somehow difficult to remove manually.  I followed some of the steps found through online search, but they didn’t work.  I tried searching another solution online, also didn’t work.  So now I’ve basically decided that reformatting the HD will be the best bet to remove the spyware wholely.  Now … where can I find extra time to spare for this job?

Edit: I already reformatted his C drive and installed the Window XP Professional Operating System.  Took one night of my time.

After our swimming class, we come home, I will give Brandon a bath and then I will take my shower while he watching DVD by himself.  When I am done with shower, I will feed him lunch and eat lunch my self.  It will be around 1pm when he finishes his lunch.  I will then give MIL a call to come over for about 30 minutes because Brandon has to nap at 1:30pm.  She usually leaves around 1:25pm as we are heading inside the bedroom for nap. 

Today what got me really angry was MIL came and rang the bell at 1:40pm.  I was in the bedroom putting Brandon to sleep when she rang the bell which startled the napping Brandon and he wanted to see who’s at the door. 

She actually called me earlier at 12:30pm and told me she would be heading out to her sister’s house to visit her.  She didn’t say anything about coming by afterwards.  So I wasn’t expecting it was her, I thought it might be the delivery guy but then I have no pending orders shipping to me.   Then at 1:40pm, the door bell chimed twice. 

When I opened the front door she was half way out the front yard and she asked, “Brandon asleep?“  I told her, “He is sleeping!“  I wanted to yell to her (because she was so far away), that she should know his nap time is at 1:30pm because this is a daily routine that she witness everyday when she is at our home after his lunch time. 

Sometimes, I really don’t know what to say to her … is things like this will pull the hair off my head.  Brandon didn’t nap until 2:15pm after lots of nagging and scolding because our normal routine was cut off.

You ever experience one of those days that doesn’t go your way?  Everything seems to be going AGAINST you?  Yup, today is that day for me. 

My day started really early this morning, at 6am.  I woke up but wasn’t able to go back to sleep.  I was sitting in front of my laptop till my son woke up at 8am.  He was fussing for his milk the moment he woke up.  *sigh* You have to learn to wait for the milk to warm up.

Then I washed two loads of laundry.  First load was my own clothing.  The weather is rather nice today, so I hung my clothing outdoor.  A second load was the blanket which I will be putting away.  It was hung outdoor on the line under the sun to dry.  I also hung my son’s cloth diaper inserts outdoor. It is unusually windy today so I used extra clips to make sure the items don’t go flying away. 

Later in the morning, when I went out to check the laundry, I saw empty line with hanging clips swaying about with the wind.  Where were my wet laundry?  On the ground.  *sigh*  Then I also noticed one of my WHITE tee shirt was on the ground too, laying next to the wall which was covered with spider web.  *double sigh*

I made the broccoli soup with pasta for my son.  After finished feeding him, I had my own udon noodle for lunch (from two nights ago).  I was sitting in front of my laptop which is on the dining table while I enjoying the bowl of hot noodle.  But my son was making a fuss because he wanted to see the YouTube with broken ceiling fan video.  I didn’t bother with him, and told him to sit down and watch his DVD quietly.  He started crying.  I ignored him and went back eating.  He cried more.  I told him to stop crying.  He didn’t.  His cries became screaming that he wanted to watch the video.  I tried to filter out the noise but it was too much by then.  I warned him that if he continue to scream, I would lock him inside the room.  After 10 minutes, he was still crying and screaming so into the room he went. 

After washing the dishes, I went inside to explain to him nicely why I put him inside the room.  He stopped crying but then started again.  *sigh* *sigh*  Anyway, to cut the long story a little shorter, I gave him his milk and then he fell asleep.

I came out to use the laptop and found the spacebar wasn’t working correctly.  I took out the button and saw much debris in it.  I went to take out the vacuum to clean it.  It didn’t occur to me there was a rubber plunger underneath it.  I knew it before as I cleaned it many times.  But the black rubber plunger got sucked into the vacuum.  I had to take out the bag and tried to find it by taking out all the dirt from the bag.  But it wasn’t there.  *sigh* *sigh* *sigh* 

What I did to replace the rubber plunger was to take out another rubber plunger from the F9 key (seldom use) and replace it onto the space bar button.  Now I have to find a replacement rubber plunger if possible for the F9. 

It is only 3:30pm now.  I wonder what else will come to me later today.  I do hope is something better than my whole morning.

EDIT: Later in the evening he pooped in his newly changed cloth pocket diaper without giving me any sign or signal.  *sigh sigh sigh sigh* On an regular day he would tell me to take him to the potty for #2.

Ingat tak cerita saya minggu lalu?  Sekarang ada lagi satu cerita.  Mari mari duduk sama sini dan dengar puan cerita.

Kali ini bukan dengan agen yang saya kerja itu.  Tapi satu agen lain yang nak tengok itu rumah lar.  Saya ada tulis dalam itu internet untuk agen baca kalau mahu bawa pemberli, “Kalau nak tengok rumah, telefon saya dulu dan saya bagi ajaran macam mana boleh tengok lar.“ 

Tapi petang hari ini, satu perempuan punya agen telefon saya punya bibit dan letak suara surat, “Mengapa itu tenant tak bagi saya tengok dia punya unit?  Saya dengan pemberli saya nak tengor sekarang.” Saya pun blur blur, saya cuba ingat kalau itu perempuan ada buat appt dengan saya meh?  Tak dah lar.  So saya mah panggil balik itu perempuan. 

Saya cakap kenapa tak baca itu ajaran dekat internet macam mana boleh tengok rumah, kenapa tak bagi tahu saya dulu sebelum pergi tengok itu rumah.  Lepas itu, dia bagi banyak sebab-sebab kenapa - kerana pemberli datang dari jauh, pemberli seberna tak nak tengok tapi dia tukar fikiran dan nak tengok. 

Saya kata, “Awak ini tak tahu respect itu penjual punya kah?  Saya ada tulis, you tak baca meh?  Kenapa tak telefon dulu sebelum nak tengok?“ 

Dia kata, “OK OK … macam itu, boleh saya sekarang tengok ka?“ 

Saya reply, “Apa tengok, tadi awak sudah tengok bukan? Nak tengok apa lagi?  Kalau nak tengok datang sekali lagi dari hari Isnin ke Jumaat, jam sembilan sampai dua belas.  Bukan you nak tengok boleh tengok, kerana must respect itu penjual punya masa.“ 

Of course, dia tak shiok lar lepas dengar ini.   

Saya sudah banyak geram tahu?  Apa lar ada orang macam ini punya.  Tak tahu baca dan ikut instruction.  Saya benci itu macam punya agen, agen yang tak ikut ajaran yang kami tulis di internet.

Saya sekarang working sama seorang other agent kerana ini case baru saya belum buat before.  Direct translation ialah pendek jual.  Itu orang lelaki tengah umur lar.  Dia pernah buat ini punya sale, itu sejab broker saya recommend untuk saya kerja sama dia.  Dia orang very friendly dan suka mengajar orang baju macam saya tapi dia ada sikit keliru apabila buat kerja-kertas. 

Itu hari ada seorang pembeli yang nak buat offer.  Saya mar sediakan semua kerja-kertas lar dan bagi dia tengok sebelum bagi itu pembeli sign.  Dia beritahu saya ini silap, itu silap, bagi tahu saya balik rumah buat sekali lagi.  Saya sudah beritahu dia, saya punya betul.  Tetapi, dia kata dia punya baru betul.  Hey, dia sudah dalam ini line puluh-puluh tahun, so saya mar follow dia punya pembetulan lar.

Semalam, kami jumpa dengan itu pembeli.  Sebelum jumpa, itu orang lagi sekali tengok itu kerja-kertas.  Dia tengok tengok, beritahu saya mengapa saya tulis begitu dan mengapa pangkah sini dan sana.  Apalar, saya beritahu dia yang bagi tahu saya buat macam ini.  Awak cuba fikir apa dia cakap??  Dia kata … mana ada lar.  Saya tak buat macam ini punya.  Aiyo … itu dia tulis punya kertas saya tak bawa sama saya semalam.  Kalau tidak, saya boleh bagi dia tengok.  Saya tak suka macam ini kerja dengan orang atas punya.  Banyak susah.  Tak ada apa yang boleh buat, so dia suruh saya ambil itu liquid putih sapu saja tapi dia kata dia tak suka guna itu liquid putih dalam kerja-kertas. 

Well, something that I just need to get out of my system.  If you understand what I mean there goes my first BM essay in a long long while since after my SPM!  Sure fail this essay paper.  It is hard to type it as I actually speak out in English but at the back of my head I do the translation.  Hehehe 

I still have a lot of posts I need to type up.  Need to find the time.  Very busy with the above ‘kerja‘.

I had a second bad experience shopping at Disney online store.  Yea, I know, I never learned from my first bad experience and went to buy from them again.  I enjoy very much shopping online but I vow now that I will never place any order with Disneyshopping again. 

1. They don’t let me cancel my order when my order wasn’t even shipped yet.
2. They don’t let me price match their own brick and mortar store in the mall. 
3. They reduced their items on their website 3 days after I placed my order and don’t let me get the lower price. 

I placed my order online in the wee hours on Saturday morning when I received an email stating they are offering extra 30% off on their websites (except outlet).  Got a few items - gloves, beanies, PJ, for my boy, mainly I wanted to get the Mickey and friends flannel PJ set for him ($19.99 before the 30% discount).  Had to get my order over $50 because there was a coupon for $5 shipping with order over $50.  Or else shipping would be $8.50 or more if total under $50. 

Went to the mall on Saturday morning and saw their holiday fashions (including the flannel PJ set) for 50% off, the PJ was only selling at $12.25 (reg $24.50).  On top of that, if you purchased $75 or more, they will give you $10 gift cards! 

Darn, I quickly came home and called the Disney online customer service.  Was told that my order couldn’t be cancel because is their policy.  I was like HUH!??  But I can refuse the shipment if I don’t want the order, however the shipping fee of $5 will still be charged to my credit card (they didn’t mention about charging me the shipping back to them).  Nevermind that, but they didn’t let me price match their own store in the mall.  Then I asked to take off my shipping charge as I forgot to add another coupon which was for ‘free shipping’.  They said no do.  I was so pissed and steaming up.  But calm down after Hubby told me it wasn’t that much different $14.00 vs. $12.25.  I was OK. 

Then this morning, I received an email from the Disney online shopping that they farther reduced their holiday items and there is a coupon for additional 20% off on the reduced pricing.  The PJ set now is only $11.99 plus saving an additional 20% of that price ($9.60 after).  There are more items on my list that was reduced.  I called customer service and they weren’t nice at all.  All they said they could do is to credit me back the different of $2 ($14-$11.99).  They wouldn’t allow the additional 20% off.  OK, then I asked for them to at least take off the shipping to offset the different but again they said no do.  I was so mad and furious with them.

What I am planning now is to refuse the order when it arrives by UPS.  I rather pay for the shipping fee and later may file a complain with their corporate company.
