After meeting up with Vien and her family, that afternoon we drove up to San Francisco. I managed to stop at the Ichiban Kan shop in San Marco while we were driving up. Alan was caring for Brandon when I was going through the store to see what items I need to get for myself as well as for this Bento Frenzy Lady.  While I was seriously shopping, Alan had to bring Brandon to search for toilet as he wanted to go ‘Sssh sssh.’  There was no bathroom for customers in Ichiban Kan so he left and went to Togo, bought a bottle of soda for $1.25 so that he could use their restroom.  I was paying up for my items when they returned.  We then continued our car trip up to San Francisco.  Brandon napped in the car on the way up.

There was a slight traffic when we were getting into the city.  We proceed the drive to San Francisco Fisherman’s Whaft.  It is our ritual to be at this place everytime we visit San Francisco. Here is a picture of Daddy and Brandon.

It was a chilly afternoon, which we weren’t expecting. Brandon was wearing a pair of shorts, so I cover him with the baby blanket I took from the car. We walked to Boudin Restaurant to meet up with Alan’s co-worker and wife. While waiting, I gossip around the bakery and took some pictures of their beautiful baked goods.

After we met up with Joe and Rina, we took a walk to Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory by the west side of Fisherman’s Whaft. I have never been here before. When we walked into the shop, each of us were given a sample square of the Ghirardelli’s chocolate. Brandon loved it so much, I had to take him out and in the shop a few times to get the free chocolates. I bought a few bags of their chocolates but still their freshly made ones (the samples) are the best. We parted with Joe and Rina after Ghirardelli and we headed back to San Jose.We stopped at Daly City’s Serramonte Center and had Panda Express dinner at the food court. This is like the Filipino’s mall. Actually my plan was to visit the largest Daiso around SFO, just outside the mall. This store is huge, I only have 10 minutes to go through the store. If time allowed, I think I could stay for hours!

Then we headed back to San Jose, the traffic was OK. We were all tired, took bath and rested for the night.

Personalized Print Calendar

Christmas is less than two months away. I have something special in mind to create for close family members and friends as gifts. You are right! As the title has said it all, I am looking to design and personalize print calendar of Brandon as stocking stuffer for my family. First of all, you might think that it is expensive to customize any desk calendars, but at Vista Print, you can get it for as low as $1.49 each (if you are ordering 100 and above). We would probably end up ordering about 10-20 pieces, that will come at $3 per calendar. I am sure my family will be keeping this for the next twelve months on the desk where they will see a different picture of my son every month.

vistaprint-printcalendar.jpgThis desk calendar will measure 8.27″ x 3.74″ and you include any photo you want in each page of the month. The finish product will be printed on Premium, 80 lb card stock paper with glossy finish. You can start of using one of their designs as a template and change the pictures in it as you want. It is very simple to use. All you need is to understand English and a few clicks here and there, your design will be ready to be placed for order.

I may have to put in my order at least one month before Christmas to make sure they will arrive here on time with their lowest standard shipping (I prefer to save on shipping). But I still have plenty of time since we are just in the beginning of November. Better put a note to remind myself to order this by mid of this month.
