Two gallons of 2% low fat milk
Before having my own kid, I didn’t understand why others were buying fill their shopping cart with the gallon milk at Sam’s Club. I used to see many parents on the weekend at Sam’s Club with 4 to 6 bottles of 1 gallons milks in their shopping cart. It was hard for me to finish 1 gallon of milk for two weeks. Usually by the end of two weeks, I had to throw away the leftover milk.
Then now that I have my own boy, I know how fast the household can run out of milk. So now whenever we visit Sam’s Club we buy 2 bottles of 1 gallon 2% low fat milk. It will last us both for about 1 week plus a day or two. Now if I have another child, I may need to get 3 gallons, and if I have 3 children, I will have to get 4 gallons. Now I can see why the other parents are stocking so much milk. Hmm … then we probably need a bigger refrigerator. LOL!

whoa that’s really alot…but it’s good to drink milk

I was exactly like you. I’m not a milk drinker myself, but ever since Ian turned 1, I began to buy cow’s milk in gallons. Two gallons last us exactly 2 weeks in my household.

Just curious, does your boy drink milk out of a regular cup? I am trying to wean my girl off the sippy cup. Even with the sippy cup, she’s beginning not to drink as much milk. With a regular cup? Forget it! I have to “bribe” her with reading times! “Only when you finish the milk will we read this.” It’s only 3 oz of milk!

We could never consume 2 gallons at once..and our fridge is too full. So, we usually resort to buying them from Safeway one gallon at a time.
Hehhee … sad to say … our fridge very empty. That’s why can fit 2 gallons.
