Are we there yet? Almost I hope. What am I talking about here you might ask? I am talking about potty training. Finally, the first day ever he had wet no diaper at all. That was yesterday. We went out for a little while (1.5 hours) on his disposable and that wasn’t wet at all. At home, I let him wore the brief and sometimes the disposable. Usually I was the one who took him to the potty and kept reminding him that he was wearing no diaper but underwear instead. He still doesn’t tell me when he needs to go yet. And for the first time ever I let him wore underwear to sleep last night. Woke him up around 1:30am to take him to the potty and he was dry till this morning.
Today we spend our day at home and he wears only the brief (no diaper). This time, he didn’t wet the floor yet. He successfully went when I took him to the potty for 4 times. He is taking his afternoon nap now and I have to wake him up pretty soon. Don’t want him to sleep too long and can’t go to sleep at night.

This is my personal opinion about the school system here in United States. I think the public school system is good but not enough attention is being given to each individual student. Classes are sometimes too big with more students than the teacher can allow personal attention. Some students may be left behind and their grades may go down.
As a parent I feel we need to put our effort into our children’s study. We need to constantly monitor their grades and if you see any regress and try to help by giving them personal tutoring. If you are not familiar with the specific subject, you may want to hire a Tutor to give your children a one-on-one tutoring program. You can actually search for a home tutor at Club Z Tutoring. Don’t let the school leave your child behind. Introduce home tutoring to your child to help improve their grades.

We are ‘almost’ settled after the return from our 5 weeks long trip to KL. My unpacking is 95% done. All suitcases have been put away in the closet. I just have little stuff here and there to tidy up. As for jet-lag … I can say we both are back to our LA time now. Brandon is napping fine in the afternoon and sleeping fine much better during the night time. Although I still have a slight trouble falling asleep earlier than 2am at night. I have too much in my mind I guess.
I can say I am also back in my blogging work. Haven’t had much time to update my blogs because I rather spend more time with my family over there.
I will definitely try to update the highlights on our trip. I have tonnes of pictures to share as well.
Here is one taken as a family during our tour of the KLCC Twin Tower Bridge on July 5th (slightly over exposed background). We were on the 11:30am tour. The tour was only 30 minutes long including a short 3D movie before going up to the bridge.

Exterior shutters have been used as a decor for years. Many of them are actually working shutters that function as sunlight screener. My grandmother’s house has shutters all around the exterior windows. They help to give the home a classic feeling I think.
Our current home has wood shutters too but only on the front exterior windows. And they are getting old because we haven’t had much time to carefully take care of them. May be I should be looking into getting a new set of faux wood shutters that may have less maintenance - doesn’t crack, peel, splinter, rot and insect resistant! I think I might stop by Larson Shutter Company online website where I can view many selections of the exterior shutters all at one place. Some of the shutters can be easily installed ourselves. For a limited time now, Larson Shutter is offering free shipping for all orders. Check it out if you are in the market for any type of exterior shutters for your home.
