Not enough sleep
I have yet to recover fully from the trip. Still not having enough sleep since I came home. I haven’t had enough sleep the last two nights before I left as I was busying packing my ’stuff’. Barely 2-3 hours of sleep per night (the last two nights). I couldn’t pack during the day time as I was too busy over looking Brandon and having chatting with the families or sometimes going out to get some last minutes ’stuff’.
Then on the plane, Brandon had much sleep but not me as everytime I was closing my eyes, something happened. I probably had mostly short naps (2-5 mins, 1 hr) than sleep. Upong arriving, I thought I would be able to sleep nicely but wrong! I had told Hubby to took off Thursday so I can rest. But that was not the case.
During the night time, Brandon couldn’t sleep well. He ended waking up around 2-3am and only went to sleep 4:30-5am. The jet lag shouldn’t be this bad. He has no problem adjusting to the time in KL when we arrived there. But I guess he slept too much on the plane and that’s why he couldn’t adjust to the local time here fast enough.
I could have easily adjusted back to the time here but since I arrived back here, for the last few nights, I hardly slept much. Between unpacking, checking/replying emails, cleaning the home, laundry, calling my friend, I was too exhausted. And sometimes my body just won’t go to sleep easily even though it is darn tired. And taking afternoon nap is even worse as I woke up even more tired.
I only have 2 hours of sleep last nite, from 2:30am to around 4am. Brandon was coughing in his sleep and woke up. I had to check on his temperature constantly because I felt him a bit under the temperature (~95.4-96.5F) and was afraid that he will develope a fever or sort. My MIL wasn’t feeling too well when we arrived but yet she was too excited that wanted to see Brandon. She only told me yesterday when I went over to check on her that she already was not feeling well since Thursday and she visited the emergency room on Saturday evening. She had on and off chill and fever and trouble with breathing. Of course, after she told me that, I only suspect why Brandon was having runny nose and coughing, as he might have caught the bugs from her.
I better go hop on the bed now to get an hr or two of sleep before Brandon wakes up. It is 8am now.

Try to go out and get some sun. That’s the only way to jolt your body back into this time zone.

Oh dear… that’s tough!
Try to relax more than maybe you can catch a few more hours of sleep.
Maybe the change of weather causes Brandon to catch the cold/flu bugs.
Hopefully your routine will go back to normal soon!

Ugh…I know the feeling very well. Traveling with a toddler is exhausting! Getting back, unpacking and settling down to a routine takes up a lot of energy too.
Take it as best as you can and rest when you can too :-)Hope it’s nothing serious with your MIL.

Ugh… with a kid around, even when resting you’re kinda have to be alert isn’t it.
