Brandon got diarrhea
Poor boy, Brandon is having diarrhea. Wet several diapers already during the last two hours. He is back sleeping now. Don’t know if it was the lunch or dinner he had. I am wondering if the whole lot of mushroom he kept asking for during lunch was the culprit or the bak kut teh soup with rice he took during dinner. I had a lot of bak kut teh soup myself too but I ate very little shitake mushroom during lunch because he wanted most of them. But my other relatives had a fair share themselves with no problem.
The area is very red now and he didn’t want me to wipe him down after each accident he had. It may be hurting much when pressure is applied on it. Guess no more mushroom for him for a while. I better go easy on his food for the next few days.

Poor thing, maybe not used to the food here… really big change in hygiene standards between the hawker food in KL and in the US

Yea, you should becareful with what he consume in KL. Our babies’ stomach are very gwailo liao..cannot simply eat outside food like we adults. I guess you should stick with some light porridge for the next few days. Try to give him some probiotics..it will help his intestine.

a couple moms on Cafemom mentioned that their toddlers are having similar diarrhea problem. they suggest to let the butt air dry for a few minutes (no diaper, no pants) after each incident. also they recommend using those diaper rash cream. i would suggest using Aquaphor to prevent future irritation and i like the air drying idea. hope he feels better soon!!! take care!

I think he is not used to the food here, much oily, spicy, and a lot of spices.
