Last Saturday 5/10 Part 1

Where we went last Saturday?

Last Saturday we went to somewhere on top of the hill (above picture). This particular place is quite new and entrance to the building is free. There is a parking fee of $8 per car. I remember the first few years when they were opened, they required visitors to reserve the parking before they could actually go visit. Now, no reservation is needed but you need to pay for the parking. Enough said … can anyone guess where this place is?

Here is a nice view of West Los Angeles and Century City from the property.

Do you have enough fiber?

In today’s quick pace lifestyle, many of us simply do not have the time to eat our recommended amount of daily vegetables and fruits. A lot of us just get burgers and fries at our local fast food restaurants to get by. By doing so we are not getting enough fiber to be regular. Constipation occurs, and we have a tough time going in the restroom. Well, if this describes you, there is help. Oxy Powder can give you the colon cleanse you need. It is the top rated brand out in the market. It can help rid your body of the toxic and wastes that cause problems and heath issues. Check out their site to learn more about this great product and order your supply now.

Less than a month away

In less than a month, we will be on a flight heading to the South-East of Asia.  Can you guess where to?

Of course lar to Malaysia!!!!  A couple weeks ago, I made our online reservations (me and Brandon) on MAS’s website for our trip back to KL.  Our total fare came up to be $2,109.80, slightly more expensive than my sister’s trip from Adeladie to Kuala Lumpur (AUD2,070).  I am so looking forward to this trip because my sister will be there, and later early in July, Brandon may meet his gong-gong (maternal grandpa) for the very first time.

Luckily, I will have my brother here to help around if I need any during the flight there.  At least now we are traveling on MAS, I don’t have to layover at Taipei for 4 hours doing nothing.  MAS still stops at Taipei to fuel up and change flight crews.  We don’t have to worry about taking our carry-ons in and out the flight while we stop at Taipei since we will be taking the same airplane from Taipei to KL.  All I have to worry about is what to pack to bring onto the flight to keep Brandon busy for the almost 20 hours flight.

Renewing my web hosting service

It is almost a year since I started this blog and pretty soon, I will have to renew my web hosting service. I like to compare the services I will get from the current web hosting company with the others before renewing my contract. Like most, I prefer a cheaper monthly rate with a good service. One place I can view all available web hosting companies is at Web Hosting Chioce. It is easy to use and it is free for all to research about their web hosting needs. If you are not familiar with web hosting, they even provide you with a FAQ section where you can read more about the terminologies. A good place to start before you decide which web hosting companies you will sign up with.

Back from mini vacation

We just got back from our mini 2 days 1 night vacation to Las Vegas.  Why Las Vegas again some of you may ask?

Firstly is because Las Vegas is the nearest city to Los Angeles that is NOT located in California.  My sister asked what about San Francisco.  My dear sister, SFO is still in California lar.

Secondly is because they have good buffets and outlet malls.

Thirdly is because their hotel rooms are pretty nice and their rates are very competitive.

This time around, I didn’t take much pictures.  I’ve just downloaded the pictures but I didn’t even see my face in any of them.  We had a good champagne lunch buffet at Mandalay Bay, the hotel we booked our 1 night stay.  It was Mother’s Day and it was crowded.  I shopped like crazy.  I had never shop like this for such a long time.

I gotta go to bed now, been very tired because I didn’t sleep much since Saturday night.  And another factor to my tiredness was the hotel’s bed - too soft.  I sleeps better on firmer beds.  If you want, you can hop to Brandon’s blog to read the update about the trip there.
