Seasoned Rice Ball with Seaweed

Rice balls

This is an easy recipe to make for toddler. You will need: Japanese rice, rice ball seasoning, seaweed, optional: vinegar/sugar/salt.

Instructions:

1. Cooked the rice as instructed in your package (I cooked 1 cup).
2. Let the rice sit for a while after cooked.
3. I added a little vinegar, sugar and salt to the rice and mixed together.
4. Then I added the rice ball seasoning and mix well.
5. Washed my left hand with cold water and pressed the seasoned rice into a ball shape. Size is up you. I made mine to toddler’s bite size.
6. I added a piece of seaweed.
7. You can garnish anyway you want. Here I added a piece of black sesame from the seaweed to the top of the rice ball.

Baseball Season is here

I remember when we were just a couple, we often went to baseball games around LA (Dodgers or Angels). We ordered our hotdogs and sodas and watched the game. If the game was good, we would stay till the end, or else we left before the 9th inning to avoid the crowd leaving the parking area.

I don’t think we will be going to any games this year. So my baseball fan Hubby has to watch them on TV or online. He will also check out Addict Sports, a sport forum for baseball and football fans. May be he can try his luck on the baseball betting, and if he wins, we can go somewhere for a short vacation.
