Chinese New Year Eve dinner

Chinese New Year Eve dinner

On Chinese New Year’s eve (Wednesday 2/6), we went over to my IL’s place for dinner. MIL made a few Chinese dishes for the festival which include FISH (not Hubby’s fave)! She made a pot of fish stomach soup which has fish stomach, scallops, shrimp and boiled it using a stewed chicken. This was so good, and I gave Brandon some - diluted with water because it was too salty and tasty for him.

The main dishes include Roast Beef (Hubby’s fave), a Vegetarian dish (jai choy), Steamed Chicken with green onion and ginger dipping sauce, Steamed Fish and another plate of blanced Chinese Broccoli (Gai lan). It was the fullest dinner I ever had. Brandon didn’t eat much, he finished about half his regular meal size.

After dinner, we wanted to stay for a little longer but Brandon wet his pocket diaper and while letting him sitting on my thigh to wash his hands, the wetness went through his pants and soak my jeans too. So we quickly walked home after that.
