Moments in My Life

My cousin brother (my kaufu’s son) and his wife had just welcomed the arrival of their first born baby girl, Julia Ow Yong on 12/28 morning.  I am very happy for all of them. Parenting is not going to be easy but I know being them, they will manage. 

Julia, you have great parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles (and cousins too!).  You will be loved very much by all of us.

Welcome to our family.  Hopefully we will get to meet you personally sometimes soon.  Pictures will be good for now.  *wink*

We are refreshed and back from our short 4 days 3 nights vacation to Las Vegas!

I spent 3 full days without any internet and it was good!  I get to sleep in earlier and wake up earlier too.  Couldn’t sleep too much as the bed wasn’t that comfortable as our own bed at home. 

It was very crowded over there and surprisingly to me, there were many families - two adults with baby/babies.  We saw so many strollers whenever we leave our room.  There were many East Indians as well as other Asians.  I found out the weekend before Christmas, our famous Jacky Cheung had a few concerts at Ceasars Palace.  Nope, we didn’t get to see him.  We spent a lot of time inside the room as I didn’t like to be exposed to the overly smoking environment in Las Vegas outdoor.  People smoke everywhere, inside and outside the casinos.

Did you get what you wished for this year’s Christmas? We don’t really celebrate Christmas but we did get gifts for friends and relatives. We didn’t buy any gift for ourselves except a few new toys and books for our little Brandon.

Two days before Christmas we braved ourselves to the Manhattan Beach Village Mall because we have nothing better to do that day. Parking was bad but we were lucky that we found a spot not too far walk away from the mall. I believe this is the only mall in our area that has an Apple Store in it. And let me tell you, it was so crowded in there. People were trying to get the last minute ipod and iphone gifts for themselves or for their love ones.

I would be very happy if I received any of these as a gift, wouldn’t you be? If I did get this type of expensive toy, I would buy some good ipod or iphone accessories to protect it. I am the type of person who takes good care of my belongings. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive this for this past Christmas. Well, if I do really want it, I will just buy it for myself.
