Char Siew Udon and Edamame
Last Saturday when visiting Monterey Park (Chinatown), I got a small piece of ‘char siew‘ (BBQ pork) from the ‘Siew Lap Poh‘ (BBQ Shop). Planned to have it for dinner. Thought I wanted to make rice and cook a vege dish to go with it. But when I got home, I changed my mind and decided to cook udon to go with the ‘char siew‘. Used Somen Tsuyu Sauce as the soup. On top of that, I boiled some frozen ready-to-eat edamame as appertizer.

See how hubby had lined up the shells?

Udon is hiding underneath all the ‘char siew’, broccoli and Japanese shrimp rice crackers.
