Long long time ago - story #2: See Chi Sun
Remember that time when there was no toll highway on the West Coast of Malaysia? We had to drive 8 hours at least from Penang to KL. But let me tell you, the ride then was much more enjoyable than the trip we have now. Though the travel time was cut into half, but we are missing out lots of nice landmarks and sceneries which only can see if we use the old road.
Today I am going to talk about the landmark See Chi Sun, translation ‘Lion Hill‘. The top of the green hill formed like a lion, with the head and tail pointing up. Don’t remember where it is located (between Tapah and Bidor?). But after passing a river (Sungai Perak may be?) and a row of huts selling fruits, we will reach this hill. I remember the drive around the base of the hill. Everytime we hit this location, we shouted SEE CHI SUN!! Sometimes we viewed this landmark on top of the hill, until neck also pain. Sorry, no picture as we didn’t bother to take pictures like this that time. May be will take one if I have the chance to go on the Old Road to Penang when I am back there.
