Penne with Marinara Sauce
Like I’ve said earlier, I don’t know what to make for my boy to eat. Today I came up with this pasta recipe with home made marinara sauce (tomato sauce).
You will need: Red tomatoes (1 or 2 depending on size), a pot of water, penne pasta, minced garlic, fresh button mushroom (optional)
Instructions:
- Remove tomato skin - wash the tomato while boiling a pot of water. When water boiling, put in the tomato. About 5 - 10 minutes, you will see cracking on the tomato. Turn off the heat. Remove the tomato. Cool it before peeling off the skin.
- Use a blender (I use magic bullet) and purée the tomato into sauce.

- Bring the sauce to boil. Add salt and sugar as needed. Set aside.
- Boil some penne (I used a mountain full 1/2 cup). I over-boil this step as I need the pasta to be as soft as possible. Set aside.
- Sauté the minced garlic on a wok (with a little oil).
- Add the marinara sauce.
- Wait till it boiling again, add in the penne pasta.
- Turn off heat.
- OPTIONAL: Sauté some mince garlic. When is fragrant, add in sliced button mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are soft. Add salt if needed.

- Use kitchen utility scissors to cut the penne shorter. Serve it to the little boss. Mine wallup all!
