Moments in My Life

We have yet to purchase the “bed” for Brandon. Still shopping. But there are another two items we added to our shopping list for his “things”. We are also looking for a desk and chair for him. He likes to draw and currently we are sitting on the floor to draw on his Doodle Pro. I think a table and a chair will come in handy in different areas - drawing, writing, reading, counting (we bought him an abacus from ikea), eating, playing and more.

So guess where we went today?  We went to IKEA!!  Saw three different types of wooden chairs and desk/table combinations.

This combination is the cheapest, only $19.99 for the table and 2 chairs.
The table top and the chair are made of a thin layer of wood that is whole together by all the 4 corners.
If I have an incredible hulk husband, I may also have an incredible hulk son.
This will definitely break easily if strength is applied on the table.

This set is the middle price, $39.99 for the wooden unfinished table and 2 chairs.
The corners of the tables are sharp edges.
Doesn’t look like finished because is the style.

This is Ikea’s most expensive set, $39.99 for the table and $19.99 for EACH chair.
I like the dark oak color as it matches one of his furniture, the toy box which was also an Ikea product.
I like the rounded corners and the chairs looks very steady.

Took us a while, to decide. Letting Brandon tried on all the chairs, not that he is picky. I am the pickiest one among the three of us. But I couldn’t decide, until Hubby said, just get the 3rd combination. Oh, I said OK! He jokingly said that we can use that as “our” dinner table. But instead of getting 2 chairs, we are planning for 1. We have to sit on the floor to join him on the table, or on our Ikea stools.

We went down to the warehouse area and to the specified aisle. There was no table, only chairs. I was actually planning to ask the associate if the table is a special order item but no one was around. So I didn’t go ahead to find the help I needed because Brandon was hungry by that time. So I left the store and then went to the car to feed him while Hubby was lining up to pay for another item we got Brandon. Will show you the picture of this item we bought when I’ve uploaded the pictures.  So we left the store with no desk and chair for Brandon.  May be we will do another trip there next week.
