10 Minutes Half Boiled Egg
I love to have half boiled egg for breakfast. Back in the old days, my mom used to make us half boiled eggs for breakfast using the yellow and white half boiled egg maker. Since I moved to LA for study, I didn’t have the half boiled egg maker so I really didn’t have any for a long long time. I always wanted to get the maker but that thing will definitely take up space in my kitchen. So I waited to buy it.
When I was pregnant, and I really need a good breakfast so eventually eggs, milk and bread would be the best for me. One day I was chatting with my sister on the phone and I told her how I missed the half boiled egg, she then told me I could make it without the maker. She gave me the 10 minutes easy methods and I tried it. It worked for the first time and thereafter.
This morning I had 2 half boiled eggs with toasted bread. Too bad, no more milk so I just had it with water. If you like me, love half boiled egg, here are the easy ways to do it without the need to purchase an additional maker:

First boil a pot of water, make sure is enough to cover the eggs.

When the water is boiling, turn off the heat and slowly put in the eggs with a spoon.
Do not drop the egg as it may crack upon hitting the bottom of the pot.
Set the timer to 10 minutes. When in winter I set the timer to 12 minutes.
Edit: DON’T CLOSE THE LID. LET IT OPEN. Unless if you want hard-boiled egg.
After the first time, you can adjust the timer as to how you like your eggs.

When the time is up, take out the eggs as soon as you can.
Perfect half boiled eggs for my breakfast.
I like to add mine with a little pepper and soy sauce.

My dad used to cook half-boil eggs for me for breakfast. Hmm..that gives me another idea for Belle’s breakfast.
A few times I dip a small pc of bread into the egg and give Brandon while I am eating. He likes it.

thanks for the tips! i often over boiled it using this method, now i kno how to do it correctly
My guy has hardly eaten 1/2 boiled eggs (only when I made them), before he met me, he always hard boiled eggs coz he doesnt know got such thing as 1/2 boiled eggs one. Guess my MIL never made that.
Try it to see if it works for you. As for the time, you may have to adjust a little bit. To start off, 10 minutes should be good, and then you see if you like harder or thinner, then adjust accordingly. Don’t think yelohpowah had that when he was young. Never seen MIL making this.
